Team GB’s junior tennis squad have started their preparations in earnest for the upcoming 18th Maccabiah Games in Israel.

Training fortnightly as well as during the week with their individual coaches and squads, the 12 teenagers, aged between 14 and 17, represent London, Hertfordshire and the north of England.

Several members of the squad have competed successfully at county, national and international levels. The group features some first-time visitors to Israel whose efforts have been supported by donations and sponsorship from members of the senior and Masters teams.

The team, who will compete in the singles, doubles and mixed doubles, will travel to Israel for pre-camp in early July.
