It was an emotional day for North London Raiders A and Norstar on Matchday 35 of the JC MSFL season, while Blizzard Storm claimed a vital win in Division Two and the Division Three season drew to a close with Faithfold C beating Loughton Orient. Danny Caro looks back on all the action.

An 80th minute strike from player-manager Phil Peters ensured Norstar finished with heads held high following a 1-1 draw against a Raiders team they will be merging with at the end of the season.
That saved the blushes of teammate Jamie Freed who had scored an own goal to put Raiders ahead in the first half.
Raiders boss Rob Richman told JC Sport: "The draw was probably a fair result. Next week sees us play Redbridge which will be my last game after seven and a half years. I'm looking forward to the break, but will be a keen supporter next season."

Camden Park's title hopes were dealt a blow as they were held 2-2 by Southgate Harmen.
Guy Marks and Jake Saunders registered for Camden who had player-manager Josh Marks sent off soon after joining the action in the second half.
Lee Greenfield and Alex Bull were the marksmen for Harmen.
Marks told JC Sport: "A 2-2 draw turned out to be OK in the end, bearing in mind other results. However, the scoreline was a complete injustice.

DEADLY DAN KEEPS THORNES IN CHARGE
GLENTHORNE UNITED A 2 CHIGWELL ATHLETIC 1
A Dan Lassman double kept Glenthorne in top spot as they ended the promotion hopes of local rivals Chigwell.
Glenthorne dominated first half and felt they should have gone into break 2-0 up. Chigwell applied more pressure second half and got back in the game through Neil Tilley with 15 minutes to go. Lassman then beat offside trap and rounded the keeper to score the winner five mins from time to wrap up the points for Glenthorne.
Thornes boss Sam Rosenthal told JC: "I'm delighted with the three points. We controlled the first half but let Chigwell back into the game after the break. However, we kept going and fully deserved all three points."
Chigwell manager Richard Slater told JC Sport: "They were the better side in the first half but we dominated the second. Their keeper kept them in the game with two superb saves. We deserved something today."

Lions B climbed into second place after taking four points out of a possible six in a well-contested double-header against Temple Fortune A.
After the first 60-minute match finished goalless, a stunning strike from Alex Bowman earned the Lions what could prove to be a valuable victory.
Lions boss Jamie Kyte told JC Sport: "I think today's games, across the league, show why the MSFL Division One is so special. There aren't many leagues across Europe where three teams can win the league on the last day of the season and I'm very proud to be in that league.
"We need both Camden and Glenthorne to drop points next week and we need to win and improve our goal difference. I know I'll be checking the JC and TotallyJewish twitter feeds regularly next Sunday morning to keep track of scores in Essex and Wembley."

HENDON COME BACK AGAINST NINE-MAN WOODFORD
WOODFORD WANDERERS 2 HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB B 2
Nine-man Woodford failed to hold on to a 2-0 advantage as they were pegged back by the plucky Hornets at Fairlop.
The Wanderers lost two players to injury, and they had to soldier on with nine men, allowing Hendon to hit back late on through Alon Blitz and Avi Markovitz to earn a point.
Hendon joint-manager Motty Korman told JC Sport: "It's been a long season and boys are looking forward to the summer break. Management will be sitting down over next few weeks to discuss how we can improve squad next season."

A stunning four-goal salvo from DANIEL SIMONS means Blizzard Storm have all but mathematically retained their Division Two status following an emphatic 4-0 victory over Raiders B.
Jubilant Blizzard boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "It was a fantastic win today. I'm thrilled that we have avoided the drop.
"Today was was in the driving seat from the first minute. Now we look forward to finishing the season against SPEC without pressure next week."
Outgoing Raiders boss Oli Shorts told JC Sport: "It's obviously disappointing to bow out on a loss and we deserved to lose the game to a very spirited and determinded Blizzard Storm, but my overriding emotion is pride having left NL Raiders after three great seasons."

That man Ben Simons was on target again to steer Faithfold C to victory over Loughton Orient.
Loughton boss Dan Curtis told JC Sport: "It's a disappointing result and we would've liked to finish the season with a win. We didn't create enough going forward today and paid the price.
"Overall the second half of the season we have shown that we are a good team and with some hard work in pre-season we will be looking to push on next year and be challenging at the top."
