SOUTH MANCHESTER 2nd 6 FC COSMOS 1

Michael Herz continued his transformation from goal saviour to goal getter as FC Cosmos were hit for six.

South Manchester 2nds have reaped the rewards since goalkeeper Herz was switched into attack to solve their barren run.

Herz (2), Dan Linton and Nathan Ezair all scored before the break.

Jack Rowe and Dan Rodden completed the scoring to leave assistant boss David Hamlet purring over the gamble to move Herz.

"We have been on a upward curve in the last few games and we found our shooting boots here," Hamlet said.

"Michael has proved a real threat since moving to striker. He has given us an outlet as a target man.

"He will not be going back in goal in a hurry."

Struggling FC Cosmos, who replied through Rafi Newman, are still yet to win this season.
