Moshe Hasid’s hat-trick helped Maccabi Manchester Blue pull off the shock result of the season.

Jonny Rose’s side stunned holders Leeds Maccabi to book their spot in the Shonn Trophy final.

Hasid was the star of the show as his treble earned the visitors the extra-time win in the nine-goal thriller in Yorkshire.
Leeds struck through Tim Zoltie, James Landes, John Saffman and Adam Kristall.

But Maccabi Manchester Blue – who have been propping up the MJSL table for much of the season – also had Charlie Simpson and Simon Mann to thank for stunning Leeds in the last-four tie.

Rose said: “I can’t praise my team enough. Nobody would have given us a chance once the tie was drawn.

"But we always believed and our never say attitude from our team – from both young and old – saw us through."

Maccabi Manchester Blue will now face Reich Insurance Rangers in the final at Moor Lane, Salford on April 21.

Meanwhile, Reich’s poor form continued as they warmed up their big date by falling to a 1-0 defeat against Maccabi Manchester Yellow in the MJSL.

Rafi Lines ensured Reich slipped to a third successive defeat.
