Avram Grant has been appointed Technical Director of Thai Premier League team BEC Tero Sasana.
Grant, 59, has not held a management position since winning the Serbian League with Partizan Belgrade in 2012.
Grant said: "I come here to help make the team become better. I come here to create chances for the team - that's my job."
Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson held the same position in Thailand in 2012.
The former Israel national team manager took Chelsea to the Champions League final in 2008, and Portsmouth to the FA Cup Final in 2010. His last job in England was at West Ham where he was sacked after the club was relegated in 2011.
