Stuart Delmonte praised a job well done as AFC Flixton cruised into the second round of the Kings Cup.

Flixton put Platt Lane to the sword and they will now face Division One side Chorlton FC.

Richard Walker (2), Adam Stephens, Adam Gilman and Leor Sidle were on target as the Manchester Accountants League leaders romped home.

Flixton co-manager Delmonte said: “We were professional and saw the job through. The boys were clinical and turned it on in the second-half. It was a case of just getting through.

"I’ve been critical of my players in recent weeks, but they were on their game here.

"Adam Tauber, Adam Gilman and Richard Walker were the standout players.”
