Disappointment for Jacobson while Brighton duo draw a blank

Joe Jacobson tasted defeat on the opening day of the League 2 season.

The left-back was booked in Wycombe Wanderers' 1-0 loss at Crawley Town.

Beram Kayal and Tomer Hemed steered Brighton & Hove Albion to a goalless draw at Derby County on the opening weekend of the Championship.

Kayal played the full 90 minutes, while striker Hemed was on the field for 76 - he had to chances to break the deadlock but was denied by County keeper Scott Carson and then had a goal-bound shot cleared by Cyrus Christie.
