Danny Caro delivers his Teams of the Season encompassing players from the MGBSFL and beyond

GOALKEEPER

REUBEN RABSTEIN (London Lions) - Giant, young goalkeeper made the No. 1 jersey his own at London Lions. Aged just 15, he did not look out of place in the Herts Senior County League’s top division, pulling off some outstanding saves. A future Team GB Maccabiah stopper for sure.

DEFENDERS

- ADAM SHAFRON (Woodford Wanderers) - A calming influence at the back after joining from Redbridge Jewish Care in the early stages of the season. Was in inspirational form to guide his team back to the Premier Division.

- DALE BRADMAN (Oakwood A) - Consistent and almost ever-present. Played a major role in the best Jewish defence in the country. Great in the tackle and kept his team in several matches in key moments.

- ADAM JACKSON (Manchester Maccabi 1st) - Commanding central defender led his team to the league and cup double. A man for the big occasion, he stood firm against the big-hitters of AFC Flixton and showed great leadership qualities.

MIDFIELDERS

- JONNY KAY (NL Raiders A) - One of the most under-rated players in the MGBSFL. Never truly gets the credit he deserves. Does the hard work, intercepting play, protecting the back four and then passing the ball to the more attack-minded players. A vital part of the successful last three years for Raiders.

- ADAM STEVENS (Manchester Maccabi 1st) - Scored a number of important goals and unhinged defences to slip in his team-mates to score. A man for the big occasion.

- AVI KORMAN (Hendon Utd SC A) - Hendon’s Player of the Year on the back of a magnificent season. Tremendous energy, a box-to-box midfielder who is a great tackler and has superb vision. Chipped in with some vital goals including the last-minute winner in the Peter Morrison Trophy final.

- RICKY ENGLEMAN (NL Raiders A) - Ten goals from 17 appearances tells only part of his influence on the side. The driving force in the team.It was a huge effort to continue playing despite living south of the Thames for half the season. An NLR legend even after just two seasons at the club.

STRIKERS

- JORDAN MARKS (NL Raiders A) - Sixteen goals in 20 games to go with numerous assists. A star this season, exemplary attitude, hardly missed a game or a training session. Incredible talent and so difficult to defend against. With Marks in the team you know it doesn’t matter who you play against, you have a chance to win the game.

- MAX KYTE (London Lions) - Set a new club scoring record with 41 goals and helped his team win the Anagram Records Trophy. Everything he touched turned to goals.

- MOSES SEITLER (Oakhill Lions/ Hendon A) - Inspired Oakhill to the MJSL title and played a lead role in Hendon’s third consecutive Peter Morrison Trophy success after running North London Raiders ragged.
