Danny Caro's Quote of the Week: March 22

articlemain

Stuart Delmonte lit the touch-paper ahead of the Peter Morrison Trophy semi-final draw when I asked him who AFC Flixton would like next, following their 2-0 success over FC Team B.

"We want to play Hendon as I feel we owe them one. It’s a case of unfinished business from last season."

David Garbacz, it's over to you!

----------------------------

- ADAM GLEKIN (Hendon B) - "I told Benni Sluckis at the beginning of the game I expected a hat-trick from him, and fair play to him he duly obliged"

- JASON STEIN (Oakwood B) - "Delighted with the win given we found ourselves 3-0 down. Some would say it's the greatest comeback since Likud somehow returned to power. I couldn't possibly comment though"

- CLIVE NATHAN (AC Whetstone) - "We now look forward to the last ever game for AC Whetstone. Anthony and I will be working on the team talk this week and trying not to cry as we do so!"

- DAVID GARBACZ (Hendon A) - "Everyone is thrilled, except for my missus, that is as it is her 50th birthday on the bank holiday weekend of the final, and we were supposed to be going away - how do you fancy the Holiday Inn in Wingate, darling, instead?"

- STIRLING KAY (Neasden) - "I would like to wish David and his Hendon team all the best for the final; their attitude and behaviour during and after the game was first-class"

- ROB SHOOMAN (Faithfold B) - "Although we won 4-3, and it was an end of season game, it was a cracking contest with both teams going for it. You would have thought it was a title-decider, played in the best spirit, with no bad tackles. The football was end-to-end and superbly controlled by Martin Lavender"
