Danny Caro's Division 2 Team of the Season

The waiting is finally over. JC Sports Editor Danny Caro unveils his picks for the top men in MGBSFL Division Two in season 2016/17.

1. LEE FEGAN (Temple Fortune) - defender turned keeper - lee conceded 1 in the final 6 games, pulled off some remarkable saves. Excellent shot stopper and fans favourite.

2. JOSH CINNA (Boca Jewniors) - a regular amongst the goals and midfield maestro turned CB with regular top performances

3. GRANT BATES (L’Equipe) - After a position switch to centre half at the start of the season, Grant has been a revelation at the back. No striker was able to beat him one on one, he won every header and even popped up with some crucial goals and assists. Centre-half Grant was one of the stars of the season and without him the title would not have been possible

4. ADAM SPECK (Temple Fortune) - captain marvel was superb, especially in the second half of the season. He is a born leader and his experience won TFFC promotion

5. MARK SMITH (L’Equipe) - L'Equipe's own Pirlo, Vieira, Dennis Bergkamp all rolled into one. Mark simply ran the game every time he was on the pitch. Whether it was linking the defence to the midfield to his brother up front or simply stepping up with crucial goals or assists Mark simply did everything this year. He brought calmness to our team and leadership that was so crucial in the title run-in

6. JONTI AREMBAND (RC UK FC) - played with great energy and passion, got stuck in and his searing pace and bravery led to a some important goals

7. MAX MARTIN (L’Equipe) - Top-goal scorer until an unfortunate sending off. Max dominated the games that he played. He was impossible to defend against and scored some goals that you had to see to believe. Sprinkled class throughout a team that needed it when backs against the ropes and without his goals early on in the season a title would not have been possible

8. ZACH COHEN (Mill Hill Dons) - MHD Player and Fans' Player of the Season. 18 goals and 14 assists in 20 games. A job very well done

9. JORDAN SHARIFIAN (Temple Fortune) - most exciting talent Fortune have seen for years. Thirty goals in his debut season, popular amongst the whole Fortune group. He has scored overhead kicks, 30-yard screamers and chipped keepers for fun

10. RICHARD FOGELMAN (Faithfold B) - MGBSFL Golden Boot winner, goal-poacher extraordinaire, but not just tap-ins, some top-notch efforts too
