Lebanon, the Israeli film that was the winner of the Golden Lion Award at the 2009 Venice Film Festival will be out in the UK on May 14.
Written by Samuel Moaz, a former tank gunner left traumatised by his war experiences, the film follows Shmuel the gunner, Assi the commander, Herzl the loader and Yigal the driver during the first Lebanon war 1982.
Their lone tank is dispatched to search a hostile town that has already been bombarded by the Israel Air Force.
The film with preview at the Curzon Soho on April 28 at 6.15pm, and will include a Q+A with director Samuel Maoz.
