Double Standards

May 19, 2009 09:40

Perhaps our readership should know that in the final battle for liberation;-

250 combatants were killed overnight. There have been over 70,000 men, women and children killed since the war started, many thousands maimed and mutilated, hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced from their homes.

This is not Gaza, so does anyone care?

This is Sri Lanka.

-Where is the condemnation of Sri Lanka from the International Community?
-Where are the calls to impose sanctions on Sri Lanka and instigate motions condemning Sri Lanka at the UN?
-Where are the British MP’s calling for Sri Lankan officials to be prosecuted for War Crimes?
-Where are the calls for the UK to boycott Sri Lankan tea?

What’s the expression – oh yes, “double standards”?
