It’s smooth and creamy and the toasted nuts adds some crunch. Ideally, make just before serving to avoid the avocados browning.
- Place all the smoothie ingredients in a blender and blitz until creamy and smooth.
- Add more almond milk (or water) to thin to a consistency you like.
- Taste and adjust the flavour as needed. The riper your bananas, the sweeter it will be. If undersweet, you could add some maple syrup for added sweetness, Add more spinach for a brighter green hue, or more almond milk or yoghurt for creaminess.
- For more protein, add nut butter. This also offsets/enhances the natural sweetness of the smoothie.
- Transfer to a bowl and top with your favourite berries and nuts.
