Orange is the new black

articlemain

If ever a successful US sitcom title is more apt, it is now. The colour orange is not only taking over our screens but our wardrobes and makeup bags too. Vibrant hues from tangerine to more subtle burnt orange shades are everywhere. Casual coral is the nice go-between for a wearable colour that's on-trend and easily flatters. Team with dark navy for a punchy colour palette. Easy separates lend themselves well to eye-popping colour rather than a head-to-toe vision of orange. For a take on this season's sorbet pastels, swap your usual soft pinks to a peachy shade instead. Buy one thing? An orange jacket which packs a playful punch against simple black and white - a great investment for this season and easily adaptable to the rest of your wardrobe.

Likewise, orange lips and cheeks were a huge trend on the catwalks, spicing up models' faces in a single sweep, though it's probably best to experiment with bright makeup when you're sporting a tan. Focus on bold nail polish until the weather is kinder.
