Nancy Reuben joins borsht belt by making their own soup

Children at the independent Sephardi primary enjoyed a souper exercise in healthy eating

Kindergarten children at the Nancy Reuben Primary in Hendon made their own soup - from vegetables picked from the school’s garden.

They used tomatoes, beetroot and courgettes to produce a fine batch of borsht.

The independent Sephardi school was taking part in the Royal Horticultural Society Campaign for School Gardening’s Big Soup Share week.

The initiative was designed to encourage healthy eating among the young
