Mosaic dedicates new resource in memory of Jewish soldier

New facility will aid digital research at the south London school

articlemain

Mosaic Primary in Roehampton, south London’s only Jewish school, has opened a new learning resources centre.

The facility, which houses 16 retractable computers, was dedicated in memory of Lt Paul Mervis and his father Jonathan, who was a staunch supporter of Mosaic.

Lt Mervis was killed on active duty in Afghanistan in 2009.

The new centre will help pupils develop research skills and encourage the use of reference books and technology.

Margaret Mervis, Jonathan’s widow, and her daughter Hannah Sumner were presented with a piece of digital artwork created in the centre.
