Jewish Child’s Day has made special grants of £7,500 in total to help two Jewish primary schools make it safe for children to return.

Clore Shalom in Shenley received money to buy protective screens and sanitising equipment, as well as for food parcels for children whose families have been struggling because of the lockdown, and Sinai in Kenton for equipment too.

JCD executive director Anthea Jackson said, “I know how important it is for the schools to be ensuring the effectiveness and safety of the children and also to make the families feel confident that it is safe to send their children back.”

The charity expects to make further grants from its emergency fund.
