Beit Shvidler Primary School in Edgware surpassed its £250,000 target in a 36-hour appeal this week, raising £300,000.

Rabbi Jonny Spector, its headteacher, said, “The entire senior leadership team has been so gratified, but not at all surprised to see such passion, dedication and enthusiasm for our school from both within the student and parent body and beyond in the wider community.”

The funds will go towards upgrading equipment for children with special educational needs, renovating the playground and climate control for the school hall, among other things.
