The issues facing those seeking a job or career change were explored at a conference organised by employment support charity Work Avenue.

The oversubscribed event was hosted by institutional investor Patron Capital Partners, whose managing director Keith Breslauer delivered the keynote address.  Participants then selected from a range of sessions.

IT director Jonathan Lipton said: “The guest speakers were fantastic and the venue impressive. This was a great source of inspiration and practical advice for me and everyone else at an ‘inflection point’ in their careers.”

Simon Rickman, CEO of Peak Performance, presented on “the seven habits of highly effective job seekers.  I was so impressed with the quality of the delegates and their enthusiasm to engage and develop.”

Work Avenue CEO Debbie Sheldon said: “This event was a wonderful opportunity for some of our talented and experienced clients to come together to be inspired, network and hopefully also develop some new skills. Work Avenue is here to help people into work. We hope we helped a few people with that today.”
