articlemain

American artist Jenny Holzer, who is best known for her LED displays, illuminated the annual Women in Art lunch of the British Friends of the Art Museums of Israel.

Some 200 guests attended the lunch at the Berkeley Hotel in Knightsbridge, during which Ms Holzer was interviewed by Will Gompertz, the BBC arts editor. They discussed her artistic decisions in an age of mass media and fake truth.

Ms Holzer donated an artwork with a market value of $50,000 to the raffle and the lunch raised more than £120,000 to support educational programmes run by Israeli art museums.
