NORSTAR C 8 BOCA JEWNIORS 1

A hat-trick from JOSH YOUNGER saw Norstar C notch up their biggest victory since joining the JC MSFL, smashing eight basement battlers Boca.

Further strikes from Ali Gordon, Alex Goodman, Andy Cohen, Adam Rosenthal and an own goal completed the rout.

Five Norstar players got their name on the scoresheet for the first time as Norstar ran riot against Boca Jewniors.

It was all San Marino versus England 1993 when Boca shocked everyone and took the lead after a defensive lapse.

The lead however lasted all of two minutes as a lovely Norstar move resulted in Gordon sweeping the ball beautifully past the helpless Boca keeper to make it three in two for him.

1-1 at the break and how Norstar weren't clear and dry amazed the whole squad. Boca's keeper made a couple of fine saves and the woodwork denied Norstar twice.

Norstar dominated possession and Boca barely had the ball in their half the whole game. The significant moment came 15 minutes into the second half when a Norstar corner was put away by Alex Goodman.

Two became three minutes later, when substitute Tom Orr's cross was beautifully headed past him own keeper by a Boca centre back.

Norstar then continued to pile on the pressure, and having switched to 4-4-2, had the extra men up front. Younger's excellent low finish across the Boca keeper having been put through by an exquisite pass from the outstanding Dan Polak made the game safe.

Four became five and what a goal it was. Left-back Andy Cohen picked the ball up in his own half, ran forward and hit the ball from all of 35 yards into the back of the net, a goal for all 3 fans to cherish.

Norstar then ran riot, Younger quickly got his second when his deflected effort gave Boca's keeper no chance and then Adam Rosenthal on his debut, scored a penalty (he also scored first time but had to be retaken).

Younger completed the rout and his hat-trick with another penalty which he coolly slotted into the net to wrap up the game and take the match ball.
