Two more years for Chelsea's wonder kid

articlemain

Chelsea have extended the contract of Sam Monjack by two more years.

Monjack, 14, joined the club seven years ago. A pupil at Immanuel College, he trains at the club's academy in Cobham five times a week. He said: "When I joined, I did not think I would still be here at 16.

I will continue to do what I have been doing for the past seven years, which is to train and play to the best of my ability, and see where that takes me.

"Everything about the Academy, from the coaching staff to the facilities, are what you would expect from Chelsea, simply fist class, and the experience is one that I would not change for anything."
