articlemain

FC Team A have announced the signing of goalkeeper Ed Bloom from North West Neasden.

Bloom is one of the most highly-rated keepers in the JC MSFL, and has Premier Division experience with Neasden B. But he spent the last season playing for Neasden's C team.

Mitch Young, the manager of FC Team, told JC Sport: "I have been looking for a top class goalkeeper since we formed FC Team and now I believe we have the best Jewish goalkeeper in all the leagues.

"Ed is experienced at the highest level he is 6ft 6" and will help us pick up some crucial points in the second part of the season, and hopefully secure our premier divsion place for next season and we can build from there.

"We have been more than holding our own in the division but have been conceding very silly goals and I believe Ed will eliminate these.

"I would like to publicly thank David Grossman for playing in goal for the past two seasons. Dave is an outfield player but helped us out and was a big reason why we got promoted last year, with some fine penalty saves.

"He will now go back to being part of our playing squad. I am absoloutely thrilled about this signing and know we can now really progress."
