Israel boss Guy Luzon had no complaints after his team were comprehensively beaten by Group A favourites Italy on Saturday night.

Having drawn 2-2 against Norway in their opening match on Wednesday, Israel went into the game in upbeat mood against an Italian team who had beaten England 1-0.

Italy became the first team to reach the semi-finals following a comprehensive victory against an Israel team who played most of the match with 10 men following the dismissal of Eyal Golasa.

Italy forged ahead on 18 through Riccardo Saponara and Italy stepped up a gear after the 37th minute dismissal of Golasa, with Manolo Gabbiadini (2) and Alessandro Florenzi finding the net.

Luzon said: "Israel can't play against Italy with ten players. I have no complaints with my players – each and every one of them gave 100% on the pitch."

Israel's Eliazer Dasa commented: "It's a very good experience to play against such great players."

Israel now has a mountain to climb. They must beat England on Tuesday to stand a chance of progressing, while Italy know they will top the section should they avoid defeat by Norway.
