A Sam Sollosi header 10 minutes from time gave Redbridge JC B the deserved points in their opening game of the season at The Bernabaum.

The Blues took the lead early on, a deep Sam Rank free-kick finding the unmarked Jordan Sapler, the flamboyant centre-back with a tidy finish to put
    Redbridge in the ascendency.

This seemed to change the momentum of the game, Redbridge pressing forward at every opportunity with James Berkley and Sam Sollosi striking a post.

With five minutes to play until half-time, a defensive mix-up was capitalised on by Ed Green who duly dispatched the opportunity presented to him by the flailing Redbridge defence.

The second half began much like the first had, Redbridge were quick out the trap and quickly regained the lead. Ben Binder with a neat turn and finish,
blasting past the hapless Bilbaum keeper.

Redbridge once again had the wind in their sails, neat one-touch passing in the centre of midfield creating chance upon chance. However, for the second time in the game, another defensive mix-up allowed Bilbaum to equalise once again, this time through Ben Bell.

With 25 minutes still to go, it was all to play for at 'The Bernabaum', and with Danny Caro's pre-match prediction of a Bilbaum victory ringing in their ears, the Blues drove forward in search of victory. The introduction of South African Daniel Wright gave them the added impetus, and it was he who provided the creative spark for the winner, cutely playing it into the danger zone where Sam Sollosi had ghosted in, heading it into the corner of the net with 10 minutes to play.

Redbridge were able to close out the game with relative ease, and the three points were secured - a fruitful trip to the Bernabaum for Jon Jacobs Blue
    and White army.

Delighted Redbridge manager Jon Jacobs told JC Sport: "It would have been a travesty to come away from the Bernabaum with a draw - we battered them with a true footballing performance of pace, power and movement and when that didn't work, a long throw here and there."
