Season 2013/14 preview: Loughton Orient

articlemain

Loughton Orient boss Dan Curtis is predicting big things from his team this season. He has managed to keep his squad together and bring in two new players.

Competitions entered: MSFL Division Three and Cyril Anekstein Cup

New signings: Wingers Dan Shaffron and Dave Levy

Which of the signings excites you most? Both signings excite me. They have had great pre-seasons, Adam is a great dribbler and commits defenders, he also knows where the goal is. Dave is very quick and gets into good positions. He is also versatile and can play at the back too

Players departed: As it stands, nobody has left. It's great that we have managed to keep the squad together

Hopes for the season: We will be looking to hit the ground running and be challenging for the title this year. Our pre-season has gone well and we look very solid at the back and dangerous going forward.

Ones to watch: The two new signings I have already mentioned. Also James Lester, he plays up front and has looked very sharp. Josh Hambling in central midfield is a key player for us, he breaks down a lot of opposition attacks and gets us ticking

Main rivals: It’s hard to say until the season kicks off and you start to see results. Nobody knows what to expect from the new teams. Lets wait and see

Captain: Ryan Kissin

Sponsors: Soccer Scene and A-List Flyers who will be on our second strip this year

Home ground: Peter May Sports Centre

What will you bring to the MSFL this season? We will be exciting. We have pace going forward and will be a joy to watch. Last season we were a new team still getting to know each other. This season we will be completely different
