Season 2013/14 preview: Camden Park

articlemain

It's as you were at Camden Park as last season's Division One champions unleash their tried and tested formula on the MSFL's finest. Manager Josh Marks tells us more ...

Competitions entered: Premiership, Peter Morrison and Cyril Ankstein

Have you made any new signings? No, we feel our current squad has enough quality to compete. We are quite an exclusive club in the sense that we have all grown up together and all close friends therefore we don’t tend to bring in new players unless they fit that criteria

Have any players left? Guy Fenton has left us to go to university in America. He will be sorely missed as he was a rock at Centre Back for us and a very well-liked member of the squad. We wish him all the best

What are your hopes for the season? As it’s our first season in the Premiership since we took over running the club from the ‘old guard’ two seasons ago, our aim at the moment is to become an established Premiership club. We'll take each game as it comes, we have a lot of quality in our squad and if we can adapt to the weekly rigours of the MSFL Premiership, then you never know what can happen, at our best we are certainly capable of beating anyone

Which players would you describe as the 'ones to watch' and why? We have a number of players that I could list, but I would say that Michael Khalastchi, Jake Saunders, Rob Hershkorn and Richard Silver form the spine of our team. All very talented boys who can all light up any game on their day

Which team do you consider your strongest challengers? Every team we play. As I said we are going to take every game as it comes and we’ll see where we end up

Captain: Max Saunders - he’s back from a long injury lay-off just in time to replace the outgoing Guy Fenton at Centre Back

Sponsor: FifaCoinsOnline – watch out for FIFA14, purchase your coins for fantastic prices!

What will your team bring to the league this season? We’re a very young squad, ranging from 20-24 years old. We’re all very excited to have our chance to pit ourselves against the best in Jewish football. So I’d say above all we’d bring an abundance of enthusiasm, a lot of style (watch out for our new kits) and entertaining football
