Season 2012/13 preview: Southgate Harmen

articlemain

Southgate Harmen, managed by Dan Uzan, have made some exciting additions for the new season.

Competitions entered: We have entered the CA and PM Cups, plus MSFL Division One.

Hopes for the season: Our aim is to get promoted back to the Prem.

Main challengers: I think NWN will be strong this year. Like us they got relegated last season and the A's merged with their B's. So with the likes of Cash and Daggers in the team they will definitely be up there.

New signings: In terms of new signings we have a very different looking team. We have Conor Pearl, who is only 17 but a really exciting prospect and on the books with Barnet. We have signed Josh Franklin from Brixton who is a versatile and strong defender. We have Adam Osper, another tough expereinced full-back that will help shore up the defence. We welcome back James Sandler to the club as well as Ori Kobi who has been in Israel the last two years. Ori helped us get a double promotion when he was last here so we expect big things this year.

Captain: Jon Morris. He has been at the Harmen since day one (12 years ago!). He is Harmen through and through, committed, a leader and what Harmen is all about.

Ones to watch: Watch out for Alex Bull and Ori Kobi. I mentioned Ori before, but Alex is another very exciting 17-year-old. He played with the B's last season and I am ready to throw him straight in. He is rapid, strong for his age and is not scared to take players on. He can play a pass, I just want him to realise his potential with Harmen and score some goals.

Home ground: Ashmole - where it all started

Sponsor: Genesis Advisory Services (UK) - Insurance specialists working with Individuals, families and businesses to make sure that they are fully protected.

What will your team bring to the league this season? Consistency, I hope. I want to manage a team that doesn't change every week/every season. I hope the boys compete in the right way, learn to lose with dignity and win with humility. Anything more than that is a bonus.
