Sahar late show stuns Inter Milan

Ben Sahar helped Hapoel Beer Sheva complete a sensational comeback to eliminate Inter Milan out of the Europa League.

The Italian giants stormed into a 2-0 lead through Mauro Icardi and Marcelo Brozovic to silence the home crowd at the Turner Stadium.

Lucio Maranhao second-half strike gave Hapoel a lifeline before Anthony Nwakaeme levelled from the penalty spot after Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovic was sent off.

This set up a grandstand finish and Sahar, the former Chelsea striker, was on hand to spark scenes of wild celebration with a stoppage-time winner last season's Israeli champions completed a double over Inter.

The win sees Hapoel draw level on points with Southampton who were beaten by in Group K.

Hapoel travel to St. Mary's to take on Southampton on December 8 in a match that will decide second place in the group.

Goals from Aleksandr Kokorin and Aleksandr Kerzhakov condemned Maccabi Tel Aviv to a 2-0 defeat against Group D winners Zenit in St. Petersberg.
