Richler-Kleinman lifts Manchester Maccabi

articlemain

A Jacob Richler-Kleinman double lifted Manchester to fourth as they cruised past Harehill in the Thameside League Division One.

Rafi Leker sealed the points with a third in a win that delighted joint-manager Stuart Delmonte.

"It was a good all-round team performance, everyone was on their mettle. If we can carry on playing like that other teams will find it hard to beat us."

Maccabi forged ahead after 35 minutes when Richler-Kleinman's latched on to an Adam Lavin pass to smash home.

They doubled their lead on the hour when Leker cut in from the left and hit a wonderful shot from 20 yards that flew in off the post.

Harehill halved the deficit with a David Mills header before Richler-Kleinman lobbed home with 20 minutes left to wrap up the win.

Alex Singer, Adam Stevens and Lavin should missed late chances to the disappointment of Delmonte, who is preparing his side for a crucial League Cup tie against high-flying Forresters Dukinfield on Sunday.
