articlemain

Republic of Mancunia have parted company with their first team manager Stuart Shapiro.

Shapiro took control of the club in July when he replaced Anthony Bloch.

A club spokesman said: "Stuart is a great football man whom we have the greatest respect for and the Chairman, Board of Directors, Management and Players would like to wish Stuart all the best in the future and thank him for his efforts since the start of this season.

"The club will remain in a great position to challenge for trophies with two very competitive teams and a fantastic squad, a mixture of experience & youthful exuberance."

Republic Player Simon Kaye will immediately resume temporary control of the team with the continued assistance of Director of Football Les Blackston.
