AFC Flixton were in seventh heaven after the promotion-chasers responded to calls to hit the goal trail.

New signing Ashley Reece, who arrived from Ramsbottom United, marked his debut with a four-goal salvo as Flixton boosted their goal difference with this rout of struggling Vida.

Rob Jacobs and substitute James Rosenberg weighed in with late strikes to put the hosts to the sword.

AFC Flixton remain five points clear at the top and joint-manager Stuart Delmonte told JC Sport: "We asked for goals and the players came up trumps.

"We have struggled for goals this season so it was important we added to our tally.

"Promotion can be decided with fine margins."

With just four games left, AFC Flixton are closing in on promotion and hope adding Reece to their ranks will get the leaders over the finish line.

Delmonte added: "He has an eye for goal and has already proved what a talent he is.

"You could not have asked for a better start."
