Red-hot Revieccio leads Glenthorne's goal charge

    JC MSFL DIVISION THREE
    GLENTHORNE UNITED B 9 TEAM JLGB 0

A fab four-goal blast from FABIO REVIECCIO helped Glenthorne made it nine out of nine with a 9-0 demolition of JLGB at London Marathon Playing Fields.

Further strikes from James Rubin (2), Adam Bernstein, Andy Levy and JC star man Dan Lassman sealed the win.

Stand-out players for JLGB were Matt West, Barry Green, Dave Mitchell, Rob Levene and Dan Levy who had Craig Sandford in his pocket all game!

JLGB created a few chances with Matt West hitting the post, Barry Green just not able to reach a tap in and a goal ruled out for offside.

Thornes joint-player-manager Craig Sandford told JC Sport: "The game started quite slowly and both teams didn’t get going. We were knocking at the door but JLGB defended for their lives and we found their goalkeeper is good form.

"I know it was 9-0 but if it wasn’t for their keeper then is could have been 20-0. We got the breakthrough after 15 minutes and then JLGB heads dropped and we took advantage of that.

"We went it at half time 3-0 up and we knew we had to go for the jugular. We carried on being professional and it was a complete one-way show.

"Once again we were solid at the back with our fifth clean sheet and we paid our defence back by being ruthless in front of goal. We are taking each game at a time and our aim is to finish 2011 unbeaten.

"We know Hendon C will be tough next week but we are high on confidence and again, we keep getting better.

"Credit goes to JLGB who ran until the end. They have a never-say-die attitude and I hope they get some results soon.

JLGB boss Rob Silverman told JC Sport: "The fitter, stronger and better side won today. A lot of the boys know each other so it was a pleasant match for the boys to play in despite the one-sided scoreline.

"My boys kept going today and Glenthorne could have had more if it wasn't for some excellent saves from Rob Levene

"We knew today would be tough and I am confident that had we have had Paul Black and Adam Conway available and therefore a strongest 11, it would have been a little more competitive.

"I am confident we can pick up some points against the other teams struggling over the last few games. It is only against Shirley Park and Glenthorne that we have been outclassed by."
