Raiders in race for top

North London Raiders climbed joint-top of the Maccabi Masters League Division One after claiming an impressive 4-2 victory at Glenthorne United B.

A penalty from Ashley Davidson plus two from new signing Andy Miller and Kevin Lotzof sealed the win. Greg Morris and Lloyd Nugent replied for United.

South Mancunians came from two down to beat Hendon Harriers 5-2. Fara Moghim and Andrew Cohen gave Hendon the upper hand but two from Braham Hochenberg and Mark Powell plus another from Jonny Cohen completed the comeback.

A Brian Deal hat-trick and goals from Ashley Marks, Paul Marco and Jon Jacobs saw Norstar Old Boys home 6-4 against a resilient Temple Fortune whose strikes came from Robert Botkai, James Ryan, Graham Meyer and an own goal.

London Maccabi Lions came from behind to draw against champions EDRS Stonegrove in a game that saw both goalkeepers injured. Mark Kingston and Martin Seifert scored for EDRS with an Adam Lee penalty and David Price responding for the Lions.

Brady Maccabi 'B' and South Mancs 'B' also played out a 2-2 draw with Brady's goals coming from Gary Rose and Dean Porter and a brace from Mark Shneiderman replying for South Mancs 'B'.

Glenthorne United 'B' maintained their 100 per cent record with Mark Lennard and Laurence Lambert scoring in a hard fought win against Ashlodge.
