Peerless Peters powers on

In his first 1,500m outing of the season, Herne Hill Harrier David Peters, 42, moved to second on the national V40 list, clocking 4:01.42 in the British Athletics League.

David Stone, 11, recorded 2:22.7 for victory in his first ever 800m race, in the Eastern Young Athletes’ League at Chelmsford. Stone, who will start at JFS in September, gained further points for his Shaftesbury Barnet under-13 team by running 200m in 31.3 and taking a leg of the 4x100m relay.
Nathan Bloom won the under-17 1500m B race in 4.32 at the same meet.

Blackheath & Bromley field event specialist Anna Barnett, 14, moved to 19th on the UK under-15 discus list with a winning throw of 28.64m in the Kent Young Athletes’ League in Ashford.
