Mancunia widen gap at top of MJSL Premier Division

Republic of Mancunia opened a six point lead at the top of the Manchester Jewish Soccer League's Joan Collins Premier Division after thumping Crumpsall 6-1.

Paul Basger (2), Yochai Zorno, Ben Blackston, Darren Loofe and Anthony Bloch completed their 10th win of the campaign against a Crumpsall side that have no wins from 13 games.

Goals from Mike Gastwirth (2), Simi Hibbert (2), Uri Steinberg (2) and Matt Jacobs earned Broughton Park a 7-1 win over Sporting JLGB. Danny Jacobs grabbed a consolation.

Two goals from Alex Esterkin plus one apiece from Simon Mattison and Daniel Linton steered South Manchester Maccabi 2nd past mid-table rivals Westdene 1st 4-2.
