Maccabi Masters review: January 12

Four goals from Kevin Lotzoff boosted North London Raiders' title hopes as they demolished Scrabble 11–0 at The Hive.

Tony Plaistow chipped in with a hat-trick as NLR kicked off the new year with a clear signal of their intentions.

Further strikes from Wayne Davidson (2), Paul Katz and Gary Cohen helped L'Orange open a three points lead, with a game in hand.

At the same venue on the adjacent pitch, Waldaf Town surprised Southgate Harmen by winning 3–2.

Richard Davis returned from his honeymoon to snatch two goals, including a penalty, to add to Adam Kaye’s strike. Daniel Hodes and Paul Stein replied for Harmen.

Title-challenging London Maccabi Lions completed the double over Temple Fortune with a 3–0 win at Parmiters in Division Two. A double from Simon Black and an own goal sealed the win.

Fortune manager David Goldberg: "We played very well. I was pleased with the performance but some decisions went against us."

EDRS Stonegrove kept up their challenge, beating Brady B 5-1 with goals from Russell Rich, Martin Seifert (2), Tony Platman, and Phil Silver. Brian Deal grabbed Brady’s consolation.
