Maccabi Lions out of the London Sunday FA Cup

London Maccabi Lions B crashed out of the London Sunday FA Cup at the third round stage after they were hammered 5-1 by Lord Stanley. Sam Rosenthal claimed a consolation.

After a number of late dropouts, which led to several ‘C’ team players being drafted in, the Lions were left having to use manager Gavin Stollar, their sole player on the bench, as a second-half substitute after Raanan Firmin went off injured.

Hat-tricks from Jake Masteran and Eddie Lewin, along with one from Paul Franklin helped Division Four high-flyers Real Life thump AC Cricklewood 7-3 in the first round of the JC Cyril Anekstein Cup.

Catford & Bromley Maccabi needed penalties to beat minnows Blizzard Storm. The teams were locked at 3-3 after 120 minutes. Joel Isaacs (2) and Craig Edwards netted for the Cats. Joe Stollerman (2) was among the scorers for Blizzard. The Cats won the shootout 4-2 with Matty Burchell, Adam Lewis, Isaacs and Edwards converting from the spot.

Neil Tilley (2) and Mark Conway helped Chigwell Athletic upset first division strugglers Brixton Old Boys 3-2. Keeper Neil Lawson booked their place in the next round with his second consecutive penalty save.

Woodford had two players sent off but still proved too strong for Faithfold C. Jerome Marks (2), Darren Ezekiel and Maccabiah star Mitch Hahn were on target in a 4-2 win. Adam Poole and Mark Burgess were sent off.

Goals from Anthony Isaacs and Marc Benezra could not stop FC Heath from going down 3-2 against Hendon United D.

JJ Marrache bagged a brace as FC Marylebone beat FC Team B 2-0.

Raphael Noe and Adam Hersh booked Hendon United C’s place in round two at the expense of Division Three title rivals Montana Boca United B. Mark Simons replied.

Holy Mount Zion bypassed Jewventus 3-1 courtesy of strikes from Louis Florentin-Lee (2) and Guri Singer. Louis Taylor replied.

Montana Boca United A proved too strong for Rapid Banta, running out 4-2 victors. Stefan Simons and Jeff Gross netted for Banta.

Jamie Wolfson (2), Jacob Gold (2) and Adam Posner eased North London Raiders A to a 5-0 demolition of Glenthorne United B. Keeper Danny Caro ensured a clean sheet with a fine penalty save.

Ian Tussie and Matt Geey helped Oakwood overcome Camden Park 2-1.

Division One leaders Southgate Harmen A hammered league new boys Athletic Bilbaum 9-0. Lloyd Becker (3), Alex Bourne (2), Jonathan Hirshler, Ori Kobi, Ben Forman were among the scorers.

Gideon Gold (2), Stefan Benfredj and Sacha Benfredj earned Red Sea a 4-2 victory at Southgate Harmen B.

Jon Isaacs (2) and Matt Radstone helped UJIA surprise L’Equipe 3-2.

An 88th minute strike from Max Kyte gave London Maccabi Lions C a 2-1 win over UJS Norstar B. Ian Hartstone grabbed the other.

Mitch Young (2), Matt Drage and Darren Freed earned FC Team A a 4-1 victory at Zig Zag. Brett Levene replied.

Amit Dinowitz and Adam Gishen swapped goals as Bafana Bafana drew with Hendon United B in the JC MSFL Premier Division.

Two from Daryl Phillips and one apiece from player-manager Zuriel Solomon and Matty Kleinman earned Faithfold A a 4-3 win over Hendon United A. Ari Last (2) and Josh Lipman replied.

Lee Cash (2), Daniel Cole, Daniel Levenfiche, TJ Keterman and captain Jonny Ellis eased defending champions North West Neasden A to a 6-3 demolition of South Manx A. Elliot Stern (2) and Rob Hershkorn replied.

Josh Morris, supersub Ben Joseph and Mike Pearson earned London Maccabi Lions A victory over Redbridge Jewish Care A by three goals to one. Daran Bern netted for RJC.

Scott McKenzie, Daniel Orgel and Richie Caplin earned Redbridge Jewish Care B a 3-1 victory over Brady Maccabi in Division One. They finished with 10 men after Richard Kanolik was sent off. Rob Lerner netted for Brady.

Team JLGB thrashed HMH 11-0 in Division Four. Neil Lux and Joe Callum bagged four apiece. Paul Rich (2) and Justin Freedman completed the rout.
