Leeds Maccabi 1st rekindled their Sunday Alliance title ambitions following a crushing 4-0 win over over West Leeds Wortley.

Maccabi are just two points off leaders New Unicorn with a game in hand going into the business end of the season.

With New Unicorn losing out to second place Real Porto, Maccabi made the most of a rare slip up by the defending champions.

Tim Zoltie’s 35th minute strike gave Ian Selwyn’s men a half time lead, before Dan Ross added a second after the break.

Captain Richard Black extended Maccabi’s advantage from the penalty spot with Nick Vale setting up Adam Gilman to wrap up the win.
