An 87th minute equaliser from Mike Khalastchi earned title-chasing Camden a point against battling Faithfold C at the Hive.

Simon Beresford and Joe Levy were the marksmen for the Superhoops who earned only their second league point of the season.

It looked as though Faithfold would hold on to record their first league win until Khalastchi powered another header into the top corner from an excellent Guy Fenton cross.

Camden's Nick Kagan told JC Sport: "The less said about the first half the better. We didn't turn up and managed to find ourselves two goals down, both sloppy from questionable free-kicks. But we showed great fighting spirit and rallied after the break.

"We got a huge slice of luck when the ref allowed a goal straight from our throw-on, although this luck soon turned when Mike Khalastchi had a perfectly good header disallowed for a non-existant foul.

"We managed to exert decent pressure and got a deserved equaliser.

"In the end we were unlucky not to win the game after missing a penalty at 2-1 down although I'm not sure we really did enough to win it.

"Unfortunately it was just a collective off-day, but we remain unbeaten and we'll be desperate to get over this draw with a big peformance next week."

Faithfold player-manager David Garson told JC Sport: "We're disappointed not to win. I saved a penalty at 2-1, but they equalised with three minutes to play."
