More than 200 children took part in Maccabi GB’s annual Simchat Hamayim swimming gala at Barnet Copthall swimming pool, last weekend.

This year, eight schools, including Sinai, Rosh Pinah, MMK, Kerem, Independent, Wolfson Hillel, Akiva and North West all packed out the stands to take part.

Throughout the event, three schools were occupying the top three spots and the excitement intensified as the climax to the afternoon saw six relays. The contest was extremely close and was eventually won by Kerem School.

Other winners included, North West taking home the medals for the winning girls team, whilst Rosh Pinah won in the boys’ competition.
