JC Team of the Week: Sept 16

articlemain

1. Ben Law (Faithfold A) - a tower of strength at the back for the Superhoops who got their season off to a flying start

2. Russell Goldstein (Redbridge JC A) - together with Sam Sollosi, Goldstein, another talented youngster in the RJC ranks, showed the quality that saw him selected for the GB futsal squad in Vienna. Didn’t put a foot wrong in 90 minutes

3. Simon Bagel (Glenthorne Utd B - was rock solid at the back, alongside James Law, Adam Shafron and Elliot Coulton, to ensure a clean sheet against Blizzard

4. Jacob Lew (London Maccabi Lions A) - sublime performance in the heart of the Lions defence against Hendon A

5. James Franks (North London Raiders C) – helped shut-out a strong SPEC team as L’Orange recorded a famous win

6. Michael Goldberg (Temple Fortune A) - excellent display against Montana capped by two great solo goals

7. Josh Dagul (Brady Maccabi B) - controlled the game from start to finish. Played balls Fabregas would have been proud of. One assist and one great goal typified his performance. Would have been a great call in Fantasy Football this week

8. Josh Cohen (Glenthorne Utd A) (from a teammate) “I’ve been playing in the same team as Josh since we were 12 years old and his performance yesterday was by far the best I have ever seen him play. He looked like the complete centre midfielder – great passing range, clever on the ball, worked really hard etc. He could have played in any team yesterday and stood out by miles”

9. Joey Lazare (London Maccabi Lions C) - scored a hat-trick with his first goal being a ridiculous shot from the outside of the box. Spent 10 minutes off the pitch with an injury and came on with 15 to go scoring his next two to take home the matchday ball.

10. Mike Hershman (North London Raiders B) - tore the Raiders A defence to shreds with his pace, movement and final ball key to a deserved 4-2 victory

11. Joel Kutner (Los Blancos) - three fine finishes from the red-hot striker made it six it two games. Catch him if you can
