articlemain

Adam Jacobs has won Belmont & Edgware CC’s Player of the Season award.

The all-rounder featured prominently for the team – he contributed 250 runs and claimed 14 wickets at 13 runs a piece.

Elliott Mayer was recognised as Batsman of the Year after scoring a maiden century and ending the season with an average of 45, while brother Mitchell Mayer’s promising displays with both bat and ball won him Young Player of the Year. Veteran Simon Taylor was awarded Bowler of the Year and Noam Attar was Most Improved Player of the Year.

BECC captain Ryan Monk noted in his end-of-season report that the club had “emerged strongly from a turbulent 2012 to enjoy a successful 2013."

Belmont always welcome new cricketers of all abilities. If you’re interested in getting involved in 2014, contact either Ryan Monk at rubgyryan@hotmail.com or Adam Jacobs, at a.t.jacobs@hotmail.co.uk.
