A hat-trick from player-manager ADAM HERSH inspired Los Blancos to their biggest win of the season as they boosted promotion hopes with a big win over Norstar in west Hendon.

The Blancos camp gathered intelligence the camera man would be in attendance for the first 15 minutes of the match so rocketed out the blocks.

A fine move from kick off saw Mendelsohn set free down the left and his cross was met with aplomb by the reliable head of Hersh inside the first minute.

Los Blancos have been in fine form recently and no player more than Adam Hersh who helped himself to a second shortly afterwards.

Mendelsohn, who had been causing the Norstar defence trouble with his movement in and around the box, found some space in the area and curled a delightful strike past the Norstar keeper to make it three.

Norstar had their first chance of the match when their striker was out through on goal and tried to chip the on rushing Josh Cohen in the Blancos goal. However Cohen leapt like a salmon fleeing a bear to palm the ball away for a corner.

The second half saw the injured eddi Nathan replaced by the formidable Suissa. Nathan, who has been criticised by the manager for putting on too much weight, realised his knees could no longer cope with the burden they were asked to carry.

The goals kept coming and the fourth was a beauty. A free kick 25 yards out had Sami Birnbaum's name all over it. He placed the ball with a look of fire in his eyes and caressed the ball around the wall and smashing into the far bottom corner.

Hersh then chipped the keeper like Rory Mcllroy in a bunker to complete his third treble of the season moving his tally to 14 from seven games.

Aryeh Marks rose highest from a corner to mark his team of the week appearance last week with a goal this week.

The introduction of Daniel Sher re-invigorated the whites and with his composure in midfield, Blancos started to play some lovey football. When Adam Waters, who has had a terrific season but has not been blessed with goals, finally broke his duck with a cracking volley from the edge of the area which flew into the roof of the net.

Joel Kutner, who picked up a knock midweek when out picking vegetables for his elderly next door neighbour, came on to round off the victory with a terrific headed goal.

There could be a few nominations for team of the week, Sami Birnbaum for a goal and two assists but he also missed two sitters. Adam Waters for his first goal and two assists, Suissa in defence who ensured another clean sheet or Josh Gaon for being a rock in the middle against his former club (but he also missed some embarrassing sitters), but really Adam Hersh with a hat-trick of hat-tricks is nominated for player and manager of the week.

Los Blancos: Cohen (capt); Annis, Nathan (sub: Suissa 45), Marks, Gertner; Waters, Gaon, Ison (sub: Sher 70), Birnbaum; Hersh, Mendelsohn (sub: Kutner 75)
