Jonny Goldstone went from hero to villain for Leeds in a 2-2 draw against AFC Flixton Reserves in the MJSL Joan Collins Premier Division.

Flixton's unbeaten record was in danger of coming to an end as Goldstone lined up to take a penalty in the closing stages, but the striker let the them off the hook by missing the target.

Leeds enjoyed long spells of pressure, but they missed a number of chances when they managed to break through a stubborn Flixton defence.

Sam Myers grabbed two fine goals for Leeds, which takes his league total to five for the season.

A Leeds spokesman told JC Sport: "We are playing well and we're doing everything right, except winning.

"We are creating chances, but we are not converting the opportunites. If we carry on performing at this level we will get the results we deserve, that is for sure."
