Gold says Grant’s job is safe “for years”

articlemain

David Gold, co-owner at West Ham, has surprised supporters by telling them that manager Avram Grant will be in charge at Upton Park for “years”.

The Israeli took over from Gianfranco Zola in June but has struggled so far with the Hammers having claimed only one win in 10 matches.

But Gold has a vision of where the club will be, and Grant is in it.

"I'd be devastated if Avram Grant is not with us for three, four, five, six years," Gold said. ''We will remain absolutely resolute behind our manager.''
