Glushko continues to impress at US Open

Julia Glushko will break into the world's top 100 after reaching the third round at the US Open at Flushing Meadow.

The Israeli overcame America's Sachia Vickery 7-5, 6-3 to set up a match against Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia.

Italy's Camila Giorgi is also through to round three after beating Hsieh Su-Wei 6-4, 7-6. The win sets up a meeting with sixth seed Caroline Wozniacki.

Dudi Sela bowed out in the second round of the Men's Singles. He put on a brave show before going down 6-4, 6-4, 6-1 against 18th seed Janko Tipsarevic of Serbia.

Andy Ram and Jonathan Erlich were back to their best in the Men's Doubles. They knocked out 11th seeds Santiago Gonzalez and Scott Lipsky and will face Yen-Hsun Lu and Divij Sharan in round two.
