The squad, managed by experience duo Adam Lustigman and Philip Caplin, will be looking to match that of the gold winning team in Berlin at the 2015 European Maccabi Games.

Lustigman said: “We have some extremely talented players with a mixture of previous futsal experience and characters both on and off the court.

“When it comes down to business, their efforts, focus and progression have been outstanding.

“We are using our past experiences to show the squad and parents the pride you feel from representing Great Britain in both playing and cultural aspects.

"We are looking forward to spending pre-camp together which will give us a chance to reflect as a team.”

As well as weekly training sessions, they have been gaining experience by testing themselves with a number of friendly matches against development squads from Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford, as well as Escrolla and Genesis Futsal Clubs who play in the National League.

Caplan commented: “We know the countries who will pose the biggest challenge to us but we will be prepared mentally, physically and tactically to be in the mix of medals before we get on the plane to Israel.”
