articlemain

Dean Furman won Goal of the Year at the Football League Awards.

The Oldham midfielder received the prize for his long-range effort against Notts County following a neat, passing move.

Furman said: “If I’m honest I think there were better goals nominated but I think I won it because it was a great team move.

“It shows there is a lot of quality in the lower divisions.”
