Five-star Republic on course for treble

Two goals from top-scorer Rob Jacobs maintained Republic of Flixton’s treble hopes as they eased into the final of the Shonn Trophy with a 5-0 demolition of Broughton.

Further strikes from Dylan Sidle, Adam Tauber and James Rosenberg sealed the win.

Republic will play Haroldeans in the final after the Merseysiders romped past Crumpsall 4-0 in the other last four tie. Zach Goodman, Paul Harris, Jamie Harris and Sam Kersh were the scorers.

Haroldeans stopped Republic from sealing the Joan Collins Premier Division title last weekend, with goals from Jamie Harris and Adam Shiffman earning them a 2-1 victory. Adam Tauber netted for Republic.
